Employment of Non-Locals: How many individuals not born in Jersey have been granted permission (permits) to work in Jersey since 2021?
Response
Some individuals born outside Jersey are not subject to immigration control. For example, British or Irish citizens, wherever they are born, do not need a work permit. Similarly, other nationals born outside Jersey may possess an immigration permission (indefinite leave to remain is one example) which precludes them from the need to obtain a work permit. Specific data on the number of work permits issued to individuals not born in Jersey is therefore not held.
