Which external insurance providers does the States of Jersey currently use to provide insurance cover any or part of the following, and for which component of insurance cover are they engaged?

a) State-funded schools, by school if different

b) La Moye prison

c) Jersey police

d) Jersey public sports facilities

Where self-insurance is fully or partially used to provide cover for any of the above, which external broker or advisor(s) are engaged for:

Response

1)

The majority of risks in respect of the above, including property damage, general and employers’ liability, are insured by Insurance Corporation of the Channel Islands as the primary insurer. 

2) 

The Government of Jersey currently engages with both Gallaghers and AON.

3 and 4)

The Government of Jersey’s insurers conduct risk surveys at selected locations, including those listed above, on a rolling annual basis.  ​
