Response
The Scheduled Public Authority (SPA) did not organise any events for Pride 2025 and therefore Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law applies.
On Saturday 21st June 2025, Channel Islands Pride:
Two Jersey Customs and Immigration Service (JCIS) Officers attended the main Pride event (parade and village) for approximately one hour. They were on duty; therefore they were paid and in uniform.
Two staff from the States of Jersey Prison Service (SoJPS) attended the main Pride event. Both employees attended in their own time and were not paid. Both have retrospectively been given time back. One staff member was dressed in full SoJPS Officer uniform.
The Chief Officer for Justice and Home Affairs attended the Parade. She was not being paid, did not receive time back, nor wore any items identifying her as a Justice and Home Affairs employee.
The States of Jersey Fire and Rescue Service (SJFRS) participated in the main Pride event in 2025. A total of five members of staff, four from the On Call section and one from Wholetime, attended the event. The four On Call members were paid and attended in uniform, the Wholetime member received their time back and attended in uniform.
Please see attached communications. Personal information has been redacted in accordance with Article 25 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011.
