Following the review by the Royal College of Radiologists and the British Society of Breast Radiologists in 2024, there was a recall of at least of 20 women for further breast cancer screening.
May you please confirm in respect of the women recalled....
- the exact number of women recalled in entirety
- how many, in addition to a standard mammogram, had a tomosynthesis, an ultrasound, a biopsy, several biopsies, a MRI, a CT scan or blood tests
- how many radiologists reviewed each women's mammogram and the results of any other tests performed

As this information is available elsewhere, Article 23 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has been applied.
Information on investigations performed are detailed in the attached table. Where fewer than five individuals have undergone any investigation, disclosure control is applied to protect the privacy of individuals, and numbers are represented as ‘<5’. Article 25 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has been applied to protect the personal information of individuals concerned.

Imaging was reviewed by a single reporter in 12 cases, and by two reporters in 8 cases.

Article 23 - Information accessible to applicant by other means
(1) Information is absolutely exempt information if it is reasonably available to the applicant, otherwise than under this Law, whether or not free of charge.
(2) A scheduled public authority that refuses an application for information on this ground must make reasonable efforts to inform the applicant where the applicant may obtain the information.
Article 25 - Personal information
(1) Information is absolutely exempt information if it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is the data subject as defined in the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018.
(2) Information is absolutely exempt information if –
(a) it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is not the data subject as defined in the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018; and
(b) its supply to a member of the public would contravene any of the data protection principles, as defined in that Law.
