A list of all current Seigneurs in Jersey

We do not hold a list of all current Seigneurs in Jersey at the Judicial Greffe and therefore Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.

Seigneurs are invited to the Assise d’Héritage and the Attorney General will read the roll using their titles, but not their names, to check their presence. The invitations to Seigneurs for the Assise d’Héritage are sent by the Bailiff’s Chambers which is not a department scheduled under the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011.

Article 3 - Meaning of “information held by a public authority”

For the purposes of this Law, information is held by a public authority if –

(a)     it is held by the authority, otherwise than on behalf of another person; or

(b)     it is held by another person on behalf of the authority.
