Request 748798821
Please provide data on the attainment of students in Jersey primary schools (specifically KS1 and KS2) in the subjects of Maths, English, and Science.
I require the data for the last five academic years (e.g., 2020-2021, 2021-2022, 2022-2023, 2023-2024, 2024-2025).
Please provide the information broken down by:
Academic Year
Subject (Maths, English, Science)
Key Stage group (KS1 / KS2)
Overall Attainment (e.g., percentage of students meeting, exceeding, or not meeting
expected standards in each subject and year group).
I would prefer to receive this data in a common electronic format, such as a spreadsheet (.xlsx) or comma-separated values (.csv) file, to facilitate analysis.
If any part of this request is not held in the specified format, please provide it in the most accessible format available.
Clarification
Having discussed this FOI with our informatics team they have confirmed that
‘We hold teacher assessment data for reading, writing and maths for pupils in year 2 and 6 (end of key stage). We do not hold data for science. The data held indicates if pupils are emerging/developing/secure.’
Would the requestor be happy to receive the information with the above considerations applied?
Clarification Response
Thank you for this. I am happy to receive the information with the considerations applied.
I look forward to receiving the information and appreciate the effort to collate it!
Response
The attached document contains a table displaying assessment data for reading, writing and maths for pupils in year 2 and 6 (end of key stage), as well as indicating if pupils are emerging, developing or secure.
Freedom of Information response 748798821
The total of emerging, developing and secure do not all add up to a full 100%, this is due to some pupils working at a level below their curriculum year group.
