Request 756754403
Provide information as to whether any Pharmacies have been requested to tender for the replacement of the after hours / 24-hour pharmacy on the island and if so, request information as to the decisions / reasons why the States of Jersey haven’t yet provided this service to its islanders.
Response
The information requested cannot be supplied, as it is not held by the Government of Jersey. This exemption is applied under Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011, which states that information is only accessible if it is held by a scheduled public authority.
To offer further clarity and context, the Government does not, and has never, contracted with community pharmacies to operate at specific times or ‘after hours’. Decisions regarding pharmacy opening times are made independently by each community pharmacy business.
