Can you please give me a breakdown of:

a) the statistics from the last 10 years of Islanders newly diagnosed with asthma?

b) how many Islanders in Jersey are currently registered as suffering from the condition?

Response

The Health and Social Services Department has only received this information from General Practitioners (GPs) since 1 January 2015, so figures before this date are not held. There are currently 5,324 asthmatic patients registered with GP practices, as of 1 August 2016. In comparison, there were 5,151 on 1 January 2015 and 5,244 on 1 January 2016.
