The asian hornet control budget which is included in the environment departments budget for 2025/6 and the proposed budget for 2026/2027. This to include a breakdown of over and under spends per category of the asian hornet budget.

Response

The Asian hornet control budget sits within an overall budget for Biosecurity, and to provide this information would require manipulation of data. A Scheduled Public Authority is not required to manipulate and create new data sets; therefore, Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.

Additionally, no decisions have been made regarding the Asian hornet control budget for 2026/2027 consequently, Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.
