Given the move to restrict the importation of petrol, diesel and hybrid/plug ins vehicles commencing from 2030 and noting the expected fall in duty revenue due to the lower fuel sales, what decisions have been made to recoup this loss?

Information regarding the Fuel Duty Replacement Policy is available in the Proposed Budget Government plan linked below. As set out on page 37 of the document, Ministers decided to pause work in 2024 as fuel duty receipts were only declining steadily. The information requested is therefore exempt under Article 23 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 as it is accessible by other means.
