Speeding and noise offences

Dear Sir/ Madame, 

I request the following information relating to speeding and noise offences in Jersey, as well as complaints made to the police on these. 

I would like to request data for the period of 1st January 2021 to the most recent date for which data is available in 2025. 

Please provide the following statistics, broken down by calendar year (2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 to date). I also request all offences to be broken down by whether they took place between the hours of 22:00 - 06:00, and all complaints be broken down as to whether they refer to incidents which took place between the hours of 22:00 - 06:00. I would also like all offences and complaints to be broken down by Parish in which the offence took place or complaint regarding an incident originated from. 

1. The total number of speeding convictions 

2. The total number of complaints of speeding reported to the police 

3. The total number of noise complaints relating to speeding motor vehicles 

4. The total number of convictions relating to noise complaints caused by motor vehicles 

5. The total number of noise complaints relating to any motor vehicles

If any of the requested information is not held, please state that in your response. If the request is too broad, I would appreciate it if you could contact me to narrow it down.

Response

Please see the requested information in the attached table. In relation to Tables 1 and 4, for the purpose of this request, although technically not convictions within the true legal definition, parish hall sanctions have been included.​
