Is the drug Vabysmo prescribed to Jersey residents for AMD and or is another drug or drugs used, if so what are they ?  

Response 

The Ophthalmology Department of Health and Care Jersey prescribe the following drugs for the treatment of age-related macular degeneration (AMD): 

  • Faricimab (Vabysmo) 
  • Aflibercept (Eylea) 
  • Ranibizumab (Rimmyrah) 

The listing ophthalmologist will decide which medication to start a patient on based upon the clinical presentation, and in line with NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) guidance. ​​
