School premises funding and assessment of needs.
Please provide a breakdown of funding provided to both fee paying and non-fee-paying schools over the past 10 years for building maintenance and improvements under the Infrastructure and Environment.
Response
Responsibility for maintaining and improving Government of Jersey school buildings is split between the Infrastructure and Environment Department (I&E) and the Department of Children, Young People, Education and Skills (CYPES).
I&E is responsible for reactive, planned and revenue project works only, the costs supplied do not include Capital works.
The breakdown of funding provided to both fee paying and non-fee-paying schools from I&E, are shown in the tables below, please note, the breakdown below only dates back to 2016 as previous information is not held due to a system change, therefore Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 is applied.
