Provide up-to-date structure charts for all government departments from Tier 1 (Chief Officer) down to Tier 3.

The attached document includes structure charts for all government departments, as identified in the published government structure chart: GS Structure - Oct 25 v3, except Health Care Jersey which is publicly available on Gov.je Departmental summary for Health and Care Jersey.pdf.. , therefore Article 23 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has been applied.

All information is accurate at the date of publication.

For the purpose of responding to this request Tiers have been defined as:

  • Tier 0 Chief Executive Officer
  • Tier 1 Chief Officer
  • Tier 2 Senior directors
  • Tier 3 Senior leaders - including posts reporting to Senior Directors or Chief Officers, evaluated at a civil service grade 14 or above, or equivalent.

Structure charts provided do not include:

  • ​​Names of postholders. (Postholder names for Tier’s 2 and above are included in the published government structure found on Gov.je therefore Article 23 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has been applied.
  • ​Non- Ministerial departments and the States of Jersey Police Service, which do not report to the Chief Executive Officer.
  • Arm’s length and independent bodies.

Post titles provided are those formally recorded in our People system.

Article 23 - Information accessible to applicant by other means

(1) Information is absolutely exempt information if it is reasonably available to the applicant, otherwise than under this Law, whether or not free of charge.

(2) A scheduled public authority that refuses an application for information on this ground must make reasonable efforts to inform the applicant where the applicant may obtain the information.​
