Details for the number of referrals received by Health and Care Jersey’s Neurology service each year from 2016 to 2025, and from 01 January 2026 to 30 April 2026, are provided in Table 1; this considers all public patient referrals to Neurology and Paediatric Neurology.
Where multiple referrals have been received in a calendar year for the same patient, each is counted.

Changes in data systems and recording practices may affect comparability of referral data across years. The current Patient Administration System was implemented in May 2023, and improvements in data capture may account for some variation in the referral volumes recorded over the timeframe.
