Can you please confirm when Jersey joined the Ramsar Convention please? Can you please confirm that Jersey is still a member / signatory of the Convention please?

Can you please confirm who is responsible for compliance with the Ramsar Convention and for reporting as per the terms of the Convention. Is there a Government of Jersey employee who bears the legal responsibility to report Ramsar incidents?

How many times has Jersey ever lodged any reports under the Ramsar Convention to either the British Government or to Ramsar HQ please?

The person responsible for compliance with the Ramsar Convention and for reporting as per the terms of the Convention along with how many times Jersey has lodged reports under the Ramsar Convention to either the British Government or to Ramsar HQ is exempt under Article 23 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 as the information is accessible on www.gov.je​ within the previous Freedom of information response linked below:

Whilst the SPA does not have one named person and or a job description that is legally responsible for notifying Defra in the event of an incident in a Ramsar site, it would be reasonable for the Minister for the Environment to request that the chair of the Island’s Ramsar management authority do so.
