Princess Anne visit

Regarding the recent visit by Princess Anne, can you supply :- 

A) the number of man hours or the cost of covering the security of her visit 

This should include all road traffic rehearsals and operations on the day. 

B) As the Zoo seemed to be the main visit, were they requested to pay something towards the above cost 

C) if yes to the above ,how much each?

Response

States of Jersey Police can confirm the following:

A) A total of 326 officer hours are recorded in relation to the visit by Princess Anne and this includes road traffic rehearsals prior to this visit. All officers assigned to this duty were working within their normal contractual hours and no overtime costs for this event were incurred. Additional time was spent in relation to planning for the visit, but as this was all conducted as part of normal duties, the precise hours are not recorded.

B) No request was made to Jersey Zoo to contribute to policing costs associated with the visit.

C) Not applicable.
