Response
1. As of 30th of April 2026, the current turnover of staff in Government of Jersey provided residential homes is 11.4%.
2. As of 30th April 2026, 18 agency staff are working in Government of Jersey provided children's homes.
3. There are no block agency arrangements in place within Government of Jersey provided children’s homes, and as such there are no associated costs.
4. As of 30th April 2026, there are 57.74 vacancies within the Government of Jersey provided residential home workforce.
5. The number children from Jersey living in homes in the United Kingdom for 2023, 2024 and 2025 are shown in the table below. These are the children that have lived at any point in that year in a children’s home setting in the UK, and as such represents a total number across each year.
