Can I submit a request to find out specifically how many use of force incidents involved individuals identified as neurodiverse; if possible, ADHD as a stand alone piece of information too.

Broken down year on year since 2020 if possible.

Response

The States of Jersey Police do not routinely categorise use of force against neurodiverse people or people with ADHD, therefore Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 is applied.

Article Applied

3 Meaning of “information held by a public authority”

For the purposes of this Law, information is held by a public authority if –

(a) it is held by the authority, otherwise than on behalf of another person; or

(b) it is held by another person on behalf of the authority.
