1. Does the Employment, Social Security and Housing Department hold data on the number of people who left Jersey during this period? 

2. If so, how many people left Jersey between 1 January 2026 and 30 June 2026? 

3. If the department does not hold actual figures for departures, please explain what migration data is collected and how migration estimates are produced.

1. The information required to answer this request is not held.

There is no single channel by which the government comprehensively collects information on people leaving the island; therefore, it is not possible to give definitive total numbers of individuals who have told us they are leaving or have left the island.

The Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 does not require a Scheduled Public Authority to manipulate or create new data sets in order to provide a response. Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 therefore applies.

2. This information is not held by the Employment, Social Security and Housing Department. Therefore Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.
