Response
1
No, the States of Jersey Ambulance Service does not have a system to enable attending crews to access copies of an individual’s advance care plans (where such copies are not held at the attending location).
Guidance is contained in the Jersey JRCALC (Joint Royal Colleges Ambulance Liaison Committee) app used by the States of Jersey Ambulance Service. As noted in previous Freedom of Information responses published to www.gov.je in 2024, the JRCALC guidelines [The Guidelines – JRCALC] are subject to copyright and cannot be reproduced for this Freedom of Information response.

Not applicable.
3 and 4
The Jersey Multi-agency Unified Do Not Attempt Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (DNACPR) Policy recognises that a ‘message in a bottle’ or medical alert bracelet / necklace may be used to communicate the existence of a DNACPR.

The States of Jersey Ambulance Service is not responsible for the provision of information or support to someone at the end of life who wishes to remain and die at home.
