Health and Care Jersey’s (HCJ’s) facilities and engineering teams manage in-house maintenance.
Data logs for planned and preventative maintenance (PPM) are held for the period from October 2024, when HCJ transitioned Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) systems. Data logs for planned and preventative maintenance prior to this time cannot be accessed.
Reactive logs have been held since January 2022.
Records for planned and preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance jobs logged for HCJ’s Hospitals’ Catering Unit located at St Peter’s Technical Park are provided below. Planned and preventative work schedules are also provided for reference.
St Peter's Catering Unit Planned Preventive Maintenance Helpdesk Jobs (Redacted)
St Peter's Catering Unit Reactive Helpdesk Jobs (Redacted)
St Peter's Catering Unit Air Handling Unit Planned Preventive Maintenance Schedule
St Peter's Catering Unit Cold Room Planned Preventive Maintenance Schedule
St Peter's Catering Unit Extract Fan Planned Preventive Maintenance Schedule
Personal identifiers of staff logging issues and those carrying out checks or maintenance have been redacted in line with Article 25 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011. Names of senior members of staff are disclosed.

No such works have been logged as there have not been any failures or replacements to this specific plant. Maintenance tasks logged are detailed in the ‘PPM’ and ‘Reactive’ logs provided. Visual checks which have not constituted maintenance to log have also been undertaken to confirm all is working as it should.
3
No noise and emissions data are available subsequent to the May 2019 report. The Regulations Standards (Housing and Nuisance) Manager conducted a Statutory Nuisance investigation for smells, noise, vermin, and traffic in April / May 2025 and concluded that no statutory nuisance was occurring. There have been no regulatory directives to carry out any further assessments.

The catering facility's refrigeration and chilled water systems have been designed to maintain operational performance under peak summer conditions, including periods where external ambient temperatures exceed 30°C. The focus is on maintaining internal temperatures which are a set point for either refrigerators or freezers. HCJ does not hold records for climate variations, though information on equipment issues requiring attention at times where a high ambient temperature or weather conditions were noted is included within the reactive maintenance log provided.
