For each of the years 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026 (1 Jan to 30 June), please confirm:
- the total number of patients placed on waiting lists for non-emergency operations at Jersey's General hospital
- how many of these patients were treated as public patients - expressed as both a number and a percentage
- how many of these patients were treated as private patients - expressed as both a number and a percentage
- the total income generated by treating these private patients

Data for waiting list additions for a non-emergency (elective) operation at Jersey General Hospital between 01 January 2021 and 30 June 2026 are detailed in Table 1.
Information is provided for the:
- total number of patients added to a waiting list.
- number and percentage of patients recorded as private patients at the time they were added to the waiting list.
- number and percentage of patients recorded as public patients at the time they were added to the waiting list.
The public and private classification is based on a patient's administrative category at the time they are added to the waiting list. An individual’s classification may change from public to private or from private to public ahead of treatment, and therefore, the figures provided are not necessarily reflective of completed public and private procedure rates.

Income from private elective procedures cannot be readily distinguished from that derived from private emergency care. Total private patient income per annum from 2021 to 2025, and for January to June 2026, is detailed in Table 2.
Private elective activity represents the majority of all private admissions; the percentage of private patient admissions recorded as elective and emergency in each time period is provided for context. This analysis considers admissions to Jersey General Hospital, Overdale and St Ewolds.
