Jersey Cider Production and Excise Duty Statistics

Please provide, for each calendar year from 2018 to 2025 inclusive:

1. The aggregate volume in litres of cider produced in Jersey and released for consumption or otherwise declared for excise purposes.

2. The aggregate excise duty received in respect of cider produced in Jersey.

3. The number of approved excise producers that declared Jersey cider production during that year.

I am requesting island-wide aggregate figures only and not the production or tax information of any named producer.

If annual figures cannot be disclosed because the small number of producers could create commercial sensitivity, please provide one or more of the following:

• an aggregate covering the whole 2018–2025 period;

• rounded or banded annual figures;

• the closest equivalent recorded information that can safely be disclosed.

Response

Jersey Customs and Immigration Service has determined that the requested Data is held for the years 2020 – 2025 only.

In respect of requested data for the calendar years 2018 – 2019 Jersey Customs and Immigration Service, as part of Justice and Homes Affairs has determined that the requested information is not held. Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 therefore applies.
