Summary

​The minister for housing has published a housing strategy which sets out what the Council of Ministers intends to do to improve Jersey’s housing situation. 

The strategy focuses upon making Jersey an inclusive place to live with suitable, high quality housing available to all residents. 

The strategy includes four key objectives to achieve this vision: 
  • balanced housing supply: ensuring the supply of decent homes meets the identified needs of the Island
  • best use of housing: making the best use of the existing and future housing stock
  • improve standards: improving the condition, security, energy efficiency and suitability of homes
  • stronger communities: create strong communities and neighbourhoods
