Our 5 strategic priorities
We have 5 strategic policies in place. They are:
1. Put children first We will protect and support children, improve their educational outcomes and involve and engage children in decisions that affect their everyday lives.

2. Improve Islanders' wellbeing and mental and physical health We will support Islanders to live healthier, active, longer lives, improve the quality of and access to mental health services, and put patients, families and carers at the heart of Jersey’s health and care system.

3. Create a sustainable, vibrant economy We will deliver an economic framework to improve productivity, nurture and strengthen our financial services industry, enhance our international profile and promote our Island identity, deliver the best outcomes from Brexit, improve skills in the local workforce to reduce Jersey’s reliance on inward migration.

4. Reduce income inequality and improve the standard of living We will improve the quality and affordability of housing, improve social inclusion, and remove barriers to and at work.

5. Protect and value our environment We will embrace environmental innovation and ambition, protect the natural environment through conservation, protection, sustainable resource use and demand management, and improve the built environment, to retain the sense of place, culture and distinctive local identity.
