The Minister for Home Affairs appointed Caroline Strachan and Andrea John as members of the Independent Prison Monitoring Board (IPMB).

Report: Independent Prison Monitoring Board (IPMB) Appointment of New Members

The Minister for Home Affairs appoints Caroline Strachan and Andrea John as members of the Independent Prison Monitoring Board.

These appointments bring the number of Members to 11 and strengthen the important work of the Board in providing independent oversight of HMP La Moye.

The appointments follow a public recruitment process beginning with advertisement in the Jersey Evening Post; interviews subsequently took place over two day in January 2018.

The term of appointment is an initial 4 years.

Mrs Strachan has experience in a number of voluntary positions including leading the organisation of the ‘Gig in the Park’ event since its inception.

Andrea John currently work for the Jersey Financial Services Commission and has experience in the financial services both in Jersey and overseas.
