Embrace Our Difference 2025

2025 event date and theme

Embrace Our Differences will take place at the Radisson Blue Hotel on Wednesday 3 December 2025, 3.30pm to 6.30pm.

This year we're focusing on the powerful theme of engagement.

True inclusion goes beyond accessibility, it’s about making sure people with disabilities are actively involved in shaping the decisions that affect their lives.

When organisations listen, collaborate and co-create with individuals, they build communities where everyone can thrive.

Join us and be part of a movement that values every perspective. Together, we can build a future where inclusion is not just a principle, it’s a practice.

What's on this year

This year’s event promises to be our most dynamic, with over 55 organisations showcasing innovative approaches to inclusive engagement.

You’ll discover practical strategies, inspiring success stories and tools that can help transform workplaces and public spaces.

Highlights include:

Meet the town buggy

A new mobility solution that has just arrived on the island.

Designed to help islanders navigate areas of town that present mobility challenges, this initiative is a game-changer for accessibility.

Engagement in action

Explore exhibits and learn how organisations are involving people with disabilities in decision-making processes.

Expert speakers

Hear from thought leaders and advocates on key topics such as Hidden Disabilities, deaf awareness and the Development of a new long-term disability benefit for Jersey’s Social Security scheme.

About Embrace Our Differences

Embrace Our Difference is an event that challenges outdated perceptions of disability and inclusion. It showcases inclusivity and diversity in the Island and hopes to encourage others by:

  • supporting diversity
  • supporting people with disabilities

Its goal is to:

  • help build an environment that is inclusive and welcoming
  • ensure everyone is recognised, respected, accepted and understood
  • give people with disabilities equal opportunities

This event coincides with the International Day for Persons with Disabilities, making it the perfect opportunity to reflect on progress and commit to meaningful action.

Whether you’re an employer, service provider, policymaker or community member, you’ll leave with practical insights and renewed inspiration to make inclusion a reality.
