Haute Vallée and Mont à l'Abbé secondary schools reopen

14 February 2020

A statement from Children, Young People, Education and Skills Department said: “Parents and carers of students at Haute Vallée School and Mont à l'Abbé Secondary School are being advised today that both schools will re-open after half-term, as normal, on Monday, 24 February.

“We would like to thank parents and carers for their understanding and co-operation following the unexpected closure of both schools. This was a consequence of the high winds that we have experienced over the last few days, which caused disturbance to the roofing fabric at Haute Vallée School.

“The safety of all members of our school community is paramount and Jersey Property Holdings are completing remedial repairs to the roof to ensure that the site is safe for students and staff to return back to school after the half-term break.”
