A French emergency alert system for mobile phones will be tested as part of an exercise linked
to the Flamanville nuclear power plant in Normandy on Thursday 16 October 2025.
With the Island’s proximity to France, it may mean that some phones in Jersey (particularly on
the east coast) receive the alert as part of this test.
It’s not known what time the test alert will be sent as part of this exercise, but it is not relevant
for people in Jersey.
