The plug’s fuse did not meet the requirements of BS 1362 as it had not been supplied with any granular filler which is required to ensure safe operation under fault conditions. As the fuse is a primary safety device, there is also a risk of fire or injury should it fail to operate correctly when required. The instructions were deemed inadequate as they did not contain information to ensure the correct and safe use of the equipment. Some of the required documentation and markings were not present
