Some machines of this model, including serial numbers 1BT01K2900 and 1BT01K2890, present a risk of serious injury as a result of the absence of a coherent conformity assessment and quality control regime. Consequently, there are essential safety features missing on some machines.
Missing safety features include (but are not limited to): • Longitudinal Load Moment Indicator (LLMI) and / or Longitudinal Load Moment Control, to alert the driver to potential overload or forward tipping, • Adequate seat construction, which has been assessed and labelled as meeting the required input spectral class, and • Suspension to the operator’s seat to reduce exposure to whole body vibration, • Appropriate guarding / protection to hydraulic hoses situated within the footwell of the cab to prevent the risk of thermal and / or high-pressure injection injury to the operator. • Load chart or information contained within the instructions for use for the safe use of additional attachments supplied with the machine such as the bucket. • Appropriate identifying marks to the supplied attachments to indicate their suitability for use with this or any other machine.
