The doorsets were marketed, labelled and/or listed on a declaration of performance as being suitable for external use (EN 14351-1), and also marketed and/or labelled as providing fire resistance characteristics. However, they had not been manufactured and conformity marked in accordance with the required level of independent oversight and testing for use as external doorsets claiming fire performance (under the harmonised standard EN 16034:2014). This means that the fire performance of these doorsets cannot be guaranteed when used in an external location.
This product does not meet safety standards.

Product description: Steel doorset for internal or external use with optional fire-rating for internal use only. External in this context means that the doorset is open to the elements on one side. The potential impact of being unable to guarantee the performance of a product in relation to reaction to fire and building safety will vary on a project-by-project basis and will depend on factors unique to each building. Building owners should seek advice from their building safety officer, an independent inspector, fire safety officer or a relevant building control authority, as appropriate, and consider reviewing the building’s fire strategy if necessary.
