This product presents a risk of entrapment because the machinery guarding interlock switches do not meet the performance level of BS EN ISO 60204-1:2018, and the guard interlock can be easily bypassed, allowing the machine to run with the guard open. The machine user could then access moving parts, leading to a risk of entrapment and/or injury. The machine control system also showed no evidence of interlock switch monitoring to detect faults.
