We provide a range of training courses for local businesses to help employees with entitled or entitled for work
residential status.
We will fund approximately 75% of the course cost. You need to pay 25%.
Leadership and management courses
These courses are led by BPP and Channel Island Executive Coaching and are aimed at current or aspiring managers, supervisors and team leaders.

Customer service training
These courses are led by People Performance Consulting and are Ideal for team members at all levels of the organisation who work with customers.
Project management one day courses
These courses are led by Highlands Professional and are ideal for team members at all levels who are involved (or planning to be involved) in managing projects or change and want to be more effective.
Social media marketing for hospitality and retail businesses
This 8 session programme is led by Chris Morris founder of Interval marketing, has delivered major business impacts for business in 2019. The course is ideal for team members who are (or will be) responsible for posting on social media or web/blog content. The programme includes a 1:1 consultation before the course starts to assess the business current use of social media and a practical 1-1 session mid-way to implement the skills.

Why we are offering this training
We asked employers for their opinions about what training should be offered. We then designed the training programme in partnership with Jersey Business and Skills Jersey.

This subsidised training has been paid for by the money raised from the Business Licensing fee for Registered permissions, introduced in November 2017.
Health care programme
This course will provide individuals with the basic skills with which to enter the Health Care sector as well as practical experience.

There are two types of training available in 2020:
Sector-specific training courses
We are working with partners in each of the main business sectors in Jersey to design training to help employers in different sectors. Work is underway with the hospitality, retail, care, agriculture, motor trades and construction industries.
General training courses
These will be available to all businesses for entitled and entitled for work employees.
