The Shelter Trust is a charity which provides accommodation, support and a way forward for Jersey's homeless community. We support individuals age 16+ across 8 sites. The Trust's projects include: Emergency Accommodation, Young Person's Project, Resettlement, Women's Only Provision and Outreach, run in partnership with the Jersey Homeless Outreach Group (JHOG).
The role of Support Worker on nights is currently 3 nights on, 3 nights off, reverting to 3 nights on. The rota is set for the year, facilitating work-life balance. Whilst hours of work include weekends and bank holidays, there are two full weekends and two half weekends off over the course of the rolling six-week rota.
The role of Support Worker is interesting, varied and challenging. Support Workers receive an excellent training package.
