How you can recycle small electrical items

Remove all batteries from your appliances and recycle these separately at our battery recycling banks.

There are different collection points for different types of electrical items:

  • electricals – items that do not have a separate collection point
  • mobile phones
  • TVs and monitors
  • laptops, tablets and PDAs

You can donate your unwanted electrical items to some charity shops.

Good to know

​You shouldn't throw away electrical items with your general waste. They contain heavy metals and potentially dangerous chemicals.

The metal from electrical items can be reused and the chemicals can be separated and safely disposed of or recycled.
