About the consultation

​​​​​​​In July 2014, the States Assembly asked the Chief Minister to investigate whether it was appropriate that same-sex marriage legislation should be introduced in Jersey and report back to the Assembly by the end of December 2014.

As part of this investigation, the Chief Minister undertook a public consultation in order to provide an opportunity for Islanders to comment on a range of different issues related to same-sex marriage legislation and related matters including civil partnership legislation.​
