About the consultation

​The Privileges and Procedures Committee are inviting comments on the draft Legislation (Jersey) Law 202- the primary purpose of which is to enable Jersey legislation, which is now all displayed at www.jerseylaw.je as currently in force, to be the official version of the legislation for citing in court.

Consultation opens on Friday 21 August and closes on Friday 2 October 2020.

The deadline for comments is Friday 2 October 2020.

The consultation document summarises the changes that could be made by the draft Law, which are about the:

  • making, commencement and repeal of Jersey legislation
  • publication, consolidation and revision of legislation
  • functions of the Legislative Drafting Office

and invites comments on them.
