Scaffold inspection record

​Every scaffold from which a person could fall 2 metres or more must be inspected by a competent person:

  • before being brought into use
  • at least once in every 7 days in which it continues to be used

A competent person must also inspect any scaffold before it is used if it has been exposed to weather conditions, or some other factor, which may have affected its safety.

Scaffold Inspection Record Book 

Copies are available to collect from the Health and Safety Inspectorate, Maritime House.

The inspection form is still available, together with further information on scaffold inspections and thorough examination.
