Please provide a breakdown of costs for the recent large scale emergency response maritime exercise conducted over the period 6 to 10 March 2017.

Response

The breakdown of costs for exercise ‘Resilient Islands’ can be divided into the following categories:

• Staff costs: £6,826.42

This figure would have already been covered under each agency’s current training budget and therefore is not an additional cost

• Equipment: £1,891.72

Includes disposables and the replacement of equipment used in the exercise

• Refreshments: £1,067.66

For both volunteers and all emergency responders

• Travel and Accommodation: £616.50

For subject matter experts invited over to observe the exercise

• Administration: £64.00

• Other: £8.80

Total: £10,475.10

The figures above are a total for all of the States of Jersey Emergency Services.
