Response

A and B

A table showing all States Members Brexit workshops arranged by the Ministry of External Relations, dates of those workshops, and a list of attendees is shown below.

Note: There is no formal registration process in place at States Member Brexit workshops. The attendance record below is taken from a note compiled by an official at each session, and is accurate to the best of our knowledge.

The table below does not record when States Members declined attendance at the Brexit Workshop in advance, or their reasons for non-attendance, which include pre-scheduled meetings, Scrutiny commitments, Ministerial commitments or constituency work.

The following Ministers, who are members of the Brexit Ministerial Group (BMG), are provided with monthly updates on the matters covered in States Members Briefings during Brexit Ministerial Group meetings: Senator Ian Gorst, Senator Sir Philip Bailhache, Senator Paul Routier, Senator Alan Maclean, Senator Lyndon Farnham, Deputy Steve Luce, Deputy Kristina Moore, and Connétable Deidre Mezbourian.

Brexit Workshops

C

The process for organising the workshops consists of a number of steps.

Firstly, time is identified in the appropriate Ministerial diaries dependent on the subject matter. The proposed time is then discussed with staff at the States Greffe, who confirm both room availability and the wider availability of States Members. Officials who hold responsibility for organising other States Member events – such as Future Hospital Briefings – are also contacted to ensure scheduling conflicts are avoided. An Outlook calendar invitation is then issued by the Minister hosting the session to States Members, customarily six to eight weeks prior to the workshop.

Supporting documents and information are circulated to States Members approximately two weeks prior to the workshop. A reminder is then issued to States Members during the week of the scheduled workshop.

The workshops identified in the table above observed the following agendas:
