As of February 2019, there are 148 locally registered sex offenders, 85 of whom are in the community and managed by the Police Offender Management Unit. The rest are either off island and being managed locally or still in prison.

There are less than five females on the register. In line with previous releases and in accordance with Article 25 (Personal Information) of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011, ages will not be given.

10 out of 148 are known to have re-offended (A further four have been prosecuted for breaching notification / restraining orders).

E to G

Since 2016 there have been 17 applications for removal from notification, of which 15 have been successful. None of the successful applicants are known to have re-offended.

1. Information is absolutely exempt information if it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is the data subject as defined by the Data Protection (Jersey) law 2018.

2. Information is absolutely exempt information if-

a) It constitutes personal data of which the applicant is not the data subject as defined in the Data protection (Jersey) Law 2018; and

b) Its supply to a member of the public would contravene any of the data protection principles, as defined in that law
