Response

A

The original budget, set in February 2014, was £390,000. The overall timescale for the eGov programme was six years.

B

An additional £860,000 was approved by the Council of Ministers in 2018 which funded the digital ID build, implementation and run costs for 2018 and 2019.

C

The digital ID (Yoti) has been integrated with the customer portal (one.gov.je) and a registration service has been delivered. This is currently being used by more than 2,000 customers in public beta.

D

Over 100 services are being delivered through one.gov.je. These services can be accessed without digital ID, however using Yoti with these services enables pre-population of eforms and tracking of the service request through to completion. A government wide change of contact details process, which requires use of Yoti, has been built, tested and is undergoing review ahead of launch. Other services requiring a digital ID are at varying stages of design, build and test ahead of launch. The roll out of digital services will be informed by the digital strategy due for publication at the end of May 2019.

E

One of the benefits of selecting Yoti is the ability to use it as a digital identity beyond government services. In 2018 Yoti launched successful trials with local festival organisers and licensees in conjunction with the Police, which resulted in several thousand digital identities being established. Introductions have also been made to multiple other private-sector organisations some of which have resulted in further development of services. These service developments are outside of government and subject to commercial confidence between Yoti and the organisations.
