Request

A.

Please can you provide me with the number of parents that have registered their child to start JCG Prep in Sept 2017 (with the draw being held this October).

Amongst the totals of registered children how many were for boys and how many were for girls?

B.

Please could you also provide the number of sibling priority registrations they had for the same start year.

Response

The deadline for applications for Jersey College for Girls Preparatory School Reception 2017 intake is 30 September 2015. Therefore, JCG Prep can only provide an indication of numbers received to date.

A.

JCG Prep has an intake of 66 children: 33 boys and 33 girls.

At this point in time (4 September 2015), JCG Prep has received application forms from parents for 127 girls and 99 boys.

These children are registered to enter the draw in October 2015.

B.

JCG Prep does not currently hold information relating to sibling priority registrations, as this is only collected after the registration deadline, in line with the Admissions Policy:

“Following the Registration Deadline and prior to the relevant draw, JCGP will write to all registered parents to establish whether the registered child has any claim to sibling priority.”
