Request

Please could I have the total number of Jersey students from State schools who sat the iGCSE in Mathematics January 2021 and with an additional breakdown by school Year ie Year 11, Year 12 and so on).

Could you also split this total into the number of students who sat the Foundation papers and those who sat the Higher papers.

Response

319 students took the Maths iGCSE Foundation Paper in January 2021.

312 of those students were in Year 11. Seven students were from other year groups, the Department have determined that to provide a breakdown of year group for these seven students would likely breach the privacy of individuals and therefore, Article 25 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) 2011 Law has been applied.

29 students took the Maths iGCSE Higher Paper in January 2021. All were in Year 11.
