School funding is based on a per pupil funding formula.

Prior year’s budgets change from year to year depending on the number, age and needs of the pupils. One-off supplemental funding to address costing pressures was provided in both 2016 and 2017 which largely negated these pressures.

Budgets and expenditure are based on the financial year January - December.
