Co-funded Payroll Scheme (FOI)

Co-funded Payroll Scheme (FOI)

Produced by the Freedom of Information office
Authored by Government of Jersey and published on 07 July 2022.
Prepared internally, no external costs.

Request

How much money was paid out under the covid co-funding to those who had not paid social security contributions?

How much of this money is being reclaimed as part of the co funding audit or any other scheme?

Response

The underlying rules of the Co-funded Payroll Scheme did not have Contributions payment as a pre-requisite as the deferral of Contribution payments was another way in which Government was supporting businesses and individuals. The information is therefore not held and Article 10(1) of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.

Article applied

Article 10 - Obligation of scheduled public authority to confirm or deny holding Information

(1) Subject to paragraph (2), if –

(a) a person makes a request for information to a scheduled public authority; and

(b) the authority does not hold the information, it must inform the applicant accordingly.
