What is the desired full complement of uniformed SOJP i.e., as at today's requirements, from Constable right up to the highest office? What is the actual number employed?

Please state for each year from 2012 to date the total number employed in the uniformed force, broken down by job title.

Response

The desired staff establishment as outlined within the Government Plan is 215 police officers and 129 civilian staff.

The actual number employed on an annual basis is outlined in the attached table, including rank for Police Officers.

It should be noted there are variations to this data at differing points of the year depending upon vacancies.  For uniformity and consistency, the figures outlined are from 31 December each year, with the exception of 2022 where a year to-date number is provided.
