1. Could you please break these down by school, i.e. how many assaults at each school for each year. And the same for teachers having to visit A&E, per school per year.
2. Could you also tell me how many of these assaults resulted in exclusion of pupils and how many - if any - resulted in criminal charges.
Response
1. In order to produce a breakdown per school of violence and aggression incidents reported and to produce the numbers of teachers having to visit A&E would require analysis of each individual violence and aggression incident reported to CYPES. The department have determined that to produce the data would take in excess of 12.5 working hours therefore Article 16 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has been applied.
2. In order to produce a further breakdown of the previously published response to identify if any assaults resulted in the exclusion of a pupil or criminal charges would require analysis of each individual violence and aggression incident reported to CYPES. The department have determined that to produce the data would take in excess of 12.5 working hours therefore Article 16 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 has been applied.
